Has LinkedIn removed its Invite Connections feature from company pages?

This article has been updated with new information. It was originally published on 3 Jan 2020.

Many of us have been thinking that 2020 could be a massive year for LinkedIn company pages. However, it appears that the social network giant has decided to permanently remove one of its key features from its company pages - the 'Invite Connections'.

Here at Stamford Digital we actively use LinkedIn to build connections and form new business relationships. We've found LinkedIn to be an extremely valuable platform, enabling us to promote our company values and services. Recently we've been trying to make more use of our company page. We've been experimenting to see if the LinkedIn company pages can be as popular and as useful as Facebook pages.

The rise of the online advent calendar

Now the Christmas countdown is almost over, let's take a look at the rise of the online advent calendar.

This new-age version of a very old tradition is becoming increasingly popular on Instagram. Whilst the original advent calendars, which started as a tradition in Germany over 200 years ago, usually contained a religious image and sometimes a chocolate too – the modern day versions are very different. And far more luxurious. The majority of advent calendars do still contain chocolate, but if you are willing to pay a little more you can pick one up which is filled with toys, beauty gifts, gin or why not splash out on a £104,000 Tiffany & Co diamond one.

How the Conservative Party used Facebook to help win the General Election

In 2016, paid Facebook advertising played a massive part in both the United States presidential election and the UK's European Union membership referendum. The recent general election gave us the opportunity to pick a political party and observe how they used Facebook to get across their key election messages and pledges to the British public. We opted to take a look at the Conservative Party.

Stamford Digital refresh their website

We are pleased to announce that our new website is now live.

Our original website served us well and recieved a lot of praise. However, it had one glaring problem which we have been wanting to address since we launched back in 2018. It lacked content. As the saying goes 'content is king', and we wanted this reflected in the new version of our site. We've gone bigger, better and more informative with the content. We've done this to help new and existing clients gain a better understanding about the services we offer and how we work.

Trees are going up, presents are being wrapped and the excitement of the office Christmas party is in full swing. There is only one thing left to complete the build-up to the festivities, and that's the highly-anticipated John Lewis Christmas advert.

Since 2007, the John Lewis Christmas advert has shifted from being just a normal TV ad, to now turning into a yearly tradition - with many of us online labelling the advert as 'the official countdown to Christmas'.

Visit to York

Viking relics, a roast dinner in a wrap – and vibrant city sights were the highlights of my latest visit to York.

On Saturday, Amy and I visited this historically-rich city as a belated birthday treat. It's been a while since I took a trip here, so we wanted to make the most of it and explore as much as possible.

I will admit one of the main reasons I wanted to go was to visit the Jorvik Viking Centre, after binge-watching Vikings on Amazon Prime (it's awesome – if you haven't watched it, check it out).
